Our Story: From the Sidelines to the Supply Line
Playbook Supply wasn’t founded in a boardroom—it was born on a dusty field in Miami, Florida, out of pure, unadulterated frustration.
Back in 2015, our founder, Coach Marco, was just a volunteer assistant coach. He was tired of watching his team struggle with ripped training nets and battered, faded cones. He knew the kids had championship heart, but they lacked championship-quality equipment.
He proposed a simple plan to the league director: invest in professional-grade speed hurdles, rebounders, and agility tools to truly unlock the athletes’ potential. The director scoffed, leaned back, and delivered the knockout blow: “Stick to teaching the fundamentals, kid. You’re just a bench warmer with big ideas about cones.”
Dejected, Marco retreated to his family, sharing his idea and his insult with his Uncle Leo, a retired pro talent scout. Uncle Leo didn't offer a loan; he offered a challenge. He pulled out his prized possession, a tarnished vintage ring, and slid it across the table.
“The field is for the players, but the playbook is for the visionary,” Uncle Leo said. “Sell this ring—it’s worth about five grand—and buy the best equipment you can find. Then sell it to every team that gets it.”
Marco took the $5,000, bought a stock of premium speed ladders, agility cones, and basketball control mats, and set up shop out of the trunk of his beat-up sedan at weekend tournaments.
By 2020, the secret was out. Teams and individual athletes across the country were calling, emailing, and demanding the same high-quality tools. Seeing the national demand for a single, focused source for the best training equipment, we officially launched Playbook Supply.
Today, we've expanded from a trunk full of gear to a complete online playbook for athletes in Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Football, and Tennis. Our mission remains the same: to deliver the high-quality gear you need to write your own legendary story.
